LEXINGTON, Ky. • Sorting through the forensics of any lost season never is easy to do. When the wounds still are fresh in the initial mourning period of these gawdawful March Madness opening-game deaths, there’s simply too much emotion attached to provide any good answers that don’t begin or end with the spewing of vulgarities or the throwing of heavy objects. By now, though, I have to assume that the seething emotion from the abrupt end of Mizzou’s basketball season has subsided just a bit.
